PSRI hospital is one of the premier healthcare institutions of Delhi as well as our country. It was established in 1996 by two illustrious Professors of AIIMS New Delhi viz. Prof. B.N Tandon and Prof. K. K. Malhotra.

Since its inception, PSRI has consistently grown vertically as well as horizontally. PSRI has illustrious faculty members; many of them are from AIIMS New Delhi and therefore provide a different identity to the Clinical Team of PSRI in all the chosen super specialities. Since its inception, PSRI has a rich tradition of research and academic activities. There is a special thrust on this component which makes PSRI different from other private sector hospitals in Delhi. On account of a wide spectrum of clinical research by senior faculty members, PSRI has been granted tax exemption under Section 35 of the Income Tax Act 1961 and subsequently PSRI has SIRO Certification also. On account of many senior members and HODs from AIIMS Delhi, PSRI has been able to create a good amount of research work in all the specialities. PSRI has been a part of many multi-centric research projects at different point of time. PSRI is a NABH accredited Hospital with NABL accredited Lab.

PSRI has a well-defined infrastructure for conducting all types of clinical research, including drug trials. PSRI has a structured and actively functioning Scientific Research Committee and Ethics Committee. There is a well-defined research department comprising a Director of Research, a Consultant in biostatistical analysis, a Clinical Research Coordinator, a well-defined research cell and an earmarked space for archival of Research documents. Overall supervision and monitoring of the Research work is done by the Advisor of PSRI, who is also Ex CEO of PSRI.
