PSRI conducts the training programme in Critical Care Medicine on regular basis.

  • A candidate with MBBS of a recognized university with post-MBBS 2 years full time training in medical or allied field (of which atleast 1 year in any Intensive Care unit) can register for the part 1 Certificate Course in Critical Care Medicine. Post in anesthesia, general medicine, chest medicine, general surgery, casualty, emergency medicine or a trauma unit of a maximum of 6 months duration would be permissible as allied post in this requirement. Post-registration for the Certificate Course in Critical Care Medicine, the candidate must provide evidence of further 1 year full time training in a medical surgical intensive care unit of hospital recognized by the College of Critical Care Medicine.
  • Candidates with Diploma in Anesthesia from recognized university can apply directly for registration for Certificate Course in Critical Care Medicine. However, 1 year training in recognized ICU is compulsory as in (1) above.
  • M.D. (General Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine or Anesthesia) from recognized university can apply directly for registration for Part 1 Certificate Course in Critical Care Medicine. However, 1 year training in recognized ICU is compulsory as in (1) above.
  • After Successful Completion Of Part-I Candidate Can Register For Part-II
  • It is a residency programme & 80% attendance is mandatory. Maintenance of log as per the guidelines is compulsory & the same has to be submitted to college of critical care medicine.
  • 1st Year- Rs. 35,000/- (to be given to college of critical care medicine by the candidate).
  • 2nd Year -Rs.45,000/- ( to be given to college of critical care medicine by the candidate).
  • One time Membership Fee :- Rs.3,225/-(to be given to college of critical care medicine by the candidate)
